How to Log Into an Apple IT or Pro Apps Certification Exam

Rules:

•No applications other than Safari may be open on your desktop, and you may not visit any

websites outside of PRIME

•No books, notes, iPhones, iPods or lifelines

•No talking to other students

•If speaking with the proctor, please speak quietly and help maintain a studious environment

during exams.

Instructions

Before you begin an Apple Certification exam, you will need the following:

•A Prometric exam voucher code (Your Proctor will provide this)

•Your PRIME username and password.  This is the username and password you set up for

yourself the first time you took a Prometric exam. It is NOT your tech ID.  Example of username:

jsmith

•Instructions for recovering your username and password or setting up a new one appear on

the next page.

Taking an Apple Certification Exam

1. Go to: http://ibt.prometric.com/apple.

2. If you have taken a PRIME exam before, click Secure Sign-in, and enter your PRIME

user name and password.

If you don’t remember your PRIME username or password, you can recover it at:

https://umuc.prime.prometric.com/recover.asp

If you have never taken a PRIME test before, you will need to create a PRIME user

profile.  If this is the case,  click First Time Registration and create a PRIME profile.

In Step 2: Select a Test Provider or Program, select IT & Pro Apps from the drop-

down menu.

3. On the Candidate / Delivery page, click Change Domain.  On the next page, Select

IT & Pro Apps.

4. When you return to the Candidate / Delivery page, click Take Test.

5. On the Select a Test Sponsor page, select IT & Pro Apps, and click the Submit in the

first box.

6. Next you will see a list of exams.  If you are ready to take an exam, click the folder

named Apple Exams: PREPAID VIA PROMETRIC/PRIME VOUCHERS to open it and

view the list available exams.

If you would like to take a free Practice Exam to familiarize yourself with the

Prometric Exam interface, you can open the Miscellaneous folder and click 9L0-002

- Prime Tutorial - English (US) - Free test.

7. Select the exam you’d like to take from the list of available exams.

IMPORTANT: Neither Apple nor Prometric can replace vouchers if a you log into the

wrong exam. Please check with your Proctor before choosing the exam.

8. Click Take this Test.

9. When you get to the Proctor Authentication page, raise your hand, and the Proctor

will sign in and enter the Voucher code.

10. Finally, enter the Exam Voucher Code on the Promotions/Voucher page, then click

Continue. (The Proctor may complete this step.)

11. Click Begin Test - Good luck!
